Introduction - Poutine (Canada)

We, grand voyageurs and unsatisfiable omnivores, have set ourselves for the most epic of all culinary adventures. Over the next year or so, we shall explore the world through its most succulent, tastiest, delectable, and yummerific of creations.

Before we embark on an alphabetical journey, we first bring you to our home...
Canada, land of the mighty poutine.

A pretty simple recipe: french fries, cheese curds, and gravy. Definitively not for the health-conscious. Best enjoyed in the great Canadian outdoors with good friends.

The dish originated from rural Quebec in the 1950s. As a matter of fact, several communities claim to be the birthplace of this mighty dish, including DrummondvilleSaint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, and Victoriaville.

To whomever invented this concoction, we, great culinary explorers, thank you for making our stomachs happy on such a fine day.

Next stop: Armenia.
